BOM Engineer (R&D)

Key Responsibilities

BCN Documentation & Approvals

• Ensure same-day BCN signature completion for R&D-related production batches
• Coordinate with R&D, production, and quality teams for timely approvals
• Maintain proper documentation and record tracking

SAP & Excel Updates

• Perform same-day updates in SAP and Excel trackers for R&D materials and batches
• Ensure accuracy of entries related to inventory, BOMs, and internal transfers
• Reconcile physical material movement with system records

Delivery Challan Coordination

• Prepare and process Delivery Challans for R&D samples, pilot lots, or material dispatch
• Ensure documentation accuracy and timely processing

ITR (Internal Transfer Requisition) Handling

• Prepare and process ITRs on time for material movement between R&D, stores, and production
• Ensure accurate tracking of internal material flow

Inventory Management (R&D Materials)

• Monitor R&D inventory levels to support prototype builds and testing activities
• Coordinate with stores to prevent material shortages or delays
• Support stock verification and reconciliation

BOM Creation & Updates (SFG & FG)

• Create and update BOMs for Semi-Finished Goods (SFG) and Finished Goods (FG) in SAP
• Ensure BOM accuracy as per engineering changes and R&D requirements
• Coordinate with engineering and planning teams for revisions

Key Expectations

• Ensure all updates and documentation are completed on the same day / within defined timelines
• Maintain high levels of data accuracy and process compliance
• Support smooth coordination between R&D, Production, Stores, and Quality

Qualifications

• Graduate / Diploma in Engineering, Commerce, or related field
• SAP knowledge mandatory

Experience Required

• 2–5 years of experience in R&D coordination, production documentation, inventory, or SAP operations
• Experience in manufacturing or electronics environment preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Strong working knowledge of SAP and MS Excel
• Good understanding of BOM structure and material management
• Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Strong coordination and follow-up capability
• Ability to work closely with engineering and cross-functional teams
