Fabrication Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Plan and supervise fabrication activities such as cutting, bending, welding, and assembly of metal parts.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and SolidWorks models.
• Prepare fabrication process plans, material lists, and work instructions.
• Ensure proper usage of fabrication machines like laser cutting, bending machines, drilling, grinding, and welding equipment.
• Monitor fabrication quality and ensure components meet design specifications and tolerances.
• Coordinate with design and assembly teams to resolve fabrication issues.
• Implement improvements to reduce fabrication time, material waste, and rework.
• Ensure safety practices are followed in the fabrication shop.
• Maintain documentation of fabrication processes and inspections.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication and welding processes.
• Ability to read technical drawings and CAD models (SolidWorks preferred).
• Knowledge of fabrication tools, machines, and materials such as stainless steel and mild steel.
• Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.

Experience: 3–10 years in fabrication or manufacturing environment.
