Job Description

Position SummaryThe Head Chef oversees all kitchen operations and leads the culinary team to deliver high-quality, consistent dishes across a variety of cuisines. This role requires strong leadership, creativity, and hands-on cooking skills, ensuring that all meals meet the establishment’s standards for taste, presentation, and safety.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & ManagementSupervise, train, and motivate all kitchen staff
  • Create staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage during peak periods
  • Delegate tasks effectively while maintaining workflow and efficiency
  • Menu Planning & Food PreparationDesign, update, and cost menus with a focus on all-round cooking capability
  • Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes across multiple culinary styles
  • Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation
  • Kitchen OperationsMonitor food inventory, order supplies, and manage stock rotation
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the kitchen
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and coordinate repairs when needed
  • Quality Control & StandardsConduct regular taste tests and quality checks
  • Ensure portion control, waste reduction, and cost efficiency
  • Implement kitchen policies, standards, and best practices
  • CollaborationWork closely with management to plan specials, events, and seasonal menus
