Lab Assistant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Lab Assistant to join our team and assist in the production of perfumes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately following formulas, measuring ingredients, and preparing perfume batches to ensure high-quality standards are met. This role requires precision, an understanding of basic chemistry, and a keen interest in the fragrance industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Formula Preparation: Accurately follow provided formulas to create perfume batches.
• Ingredient Handling: Weigh, measure, and mix raw materials, including essential oils, aroma chemicals, and solvents, in precise quantities.
• Equipment Operation: Operate lab equipment such as scales, pipettes, beakers, and mixers to ensure proper blending and consistency.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct basic tests to verify the quality and consistency of the finished product, reporting any deviations to the supervisor.
• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of formulations, measurements, and procedures for traceability.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of raw materials and assist in reordering supplies as needed.
• Lab Maintenance: Ensure the lab is clean, organized, and compliant with safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or a degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in a lab environment or working with perfumes and fragrances is a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Basic understanding of weights, measurements, and laboratory techniques.
• Familiarity with safety protocols for handling chemicals and laboratory equipment.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
