Job Title: Steward / Service StewardAbout the RoleThe Steward is responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring smooth dining operations, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the service team in delivering a high-quality guest experience. This role is essential in maintaining restaurant standards and ensuring guests feel welcomed and well-served.

• Key ResponsibilitiesGuest ServiceGreet guests politely and escort them to tables when required.
• Serve water, beverages, and food items as instructed.
• Assist guests with menu information when needed.
• Ensure guest requests are handled promptly and professionally.
• Service SupportSet up tables, arrange cutlery, and prepare service stations before shifts.
• Clear tables efficiently and reset them for the next guest.
• Support the Captain and service staff during busy hours.
• Carry dishes, trays, and beverages safely and efficiently.
• Cleanliness & HygieneMaintain cleanliness of the dining area, service counters, and workstations.
• Follow hygiene protocols for handling food, cutlery, and equipment.
• Ensure all plates, glasses, and utensils are polished and ready for use.
• Operational TasksAssist in delivering orders from the kitchen to the guests.
• Refill water glasses, serve accompaniments, and check guest needs throughout service.
• Help in storing supplies, stocking service stations, and managing linen.
• Follow SOPs for service, safety, and sanitation.
• Requirements0–2 years of experience in a restaurant, café, or hotel (freshers also welcome).
• Basic understanding of food and beverage service.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Pleasant personality, customer-oriented attitude, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
