Reporting To: Restaurant Manager / Owner

Role Overview

The waiter is the front line touch point for guests, responsible for delivering a smooth, high-quality dining experience with speed, accuracy, and professionalism. This role demands sharp communication, attention to detail, and strong service discipline.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and manage table seating efficiently.
• Present menus, upsell key items, and guide customers through recommendations.
• Take orders accurately and coordinate seamlessly with the kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages with proper etiquette and timing.
• Manage table turnover to maintain steady flow in a compact 20-seater space.
• Handle billing, POS entries, and payment collection with zero errors.
• Manage guest concerns on the spot and escalate when necessary.
• Ensure tables, cutlery, and service areas remain clean and ready at all times.
• Support takeaway and delivery order handling during peak hours.
• Maintain hygiene standards in line with FSSAI and internal SOPs.

Skills & Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in restaurant service (Indian cuisine preferred).
• Strong communication and customer-handling skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay composed during rush hours.
• Basic understanding of POS systems and order management.
• Presentable, disciplined, and punctual.
