Collection Specialist

The Debt Recovery Officer is responsible for recovering outstanding debts from customers in a professional, ethical, and timely manner. The role involves communicating with clients, negotiating repayment plans, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact customers with overdue accounts via phone, email, letters, or in-person visits
• Follow up on unpaid invoices and outstanding balances
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements within company guidelines
• Monitor customer accounts and update recovery status regularly
• Maintain accurate records of communication and payments
• Prepare reports on debt recovery progress and outstanding amounts
• Escalate cases for legal action when necessary
• Coordinate with legal, finance, and sales teams
