Job Description
- Optometrist with Retail & Sales Responsibilities1. Clinical / Optometry DutiesConduct comprehensive eye examinations (vision testing, refraction, binocular vision assessment, colour vision, etc.)
- Diagnose refractive errors and prescribe appropriate spectacles/lenses.
- Perform contact lens fitting, trials, and educate customers on lens care & hygiene.
- Identify and refer patients for advanced medical eye conditions (cataract, glaucoma, retinal issues) when required.
- Maintain accurate patient records and case history.
- Provide after-sales eye care support and handle vision-related complaints.
- 2. Retail Sales & Customer ServiceAssist customers in selecting frames, sunglasses, lenses, and accessories based on prescription, budget, and style preference.
- Explain lens options, coatings, and upgrades (blue cut, progressive, photochromic, premium lenses).
- Achieve monthly sales targets for frames, lenses, CL, and sunglasses.
- Provide excellent customer experience and ensure smooth store flow.
- Build customer relationships and encourage repeat business.
- 3. Store OperationsEnsure proper display and merchandising of eyewear products.
- Manage inventory: check stock, maintain records, and coordinate with suppliers.
- Handle billing, payments, and maintain daily sales reports.
- Keep clinic and equipment clean, sanitized, and well-maintained.
- Assist in marketing activities — in-store promotions, eye camps, and brand events.
- 4. Teamwork & Professionalism work closely with store managers and sales team to achieve store goals.
- Train staff on basic optical knowledge when needed.
- Uphold brand standards, grooming, and customer handling etiquette.
