Job Description

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and strengthening distributor and retailer relationships within the assigned territory for the company’s agarbatti and related fragrance products. The role requires a strong understanding of FMCG distribution, rural and urban retail networks, and channel management.


Key Responsibilities:


* Develop and execute area sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

* Appoint, manage, and motivate distributors, super stockists, and sales representatives in the assigned region.

* Ensure effective market coverage, visibility, and availability of products across retail outlets.

* Monitor primary and secondary sales, stock levels, and credit management.

* Conduct regular market visits to understand customer needs, competitor activities, and market trends.

* Implement trade marketing activities, promotions, and merchandising initiatives.

* Train and guide the field sales team to improve productivity and performance.

* Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback for management review.


Qualifications & Skills:


* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.

* 5–7 years of sales experience in FMCG(preferably in agarbatti).

* Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

* Good knowledge of distributor networks and regional markets.

* Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
