About Us

Tramontana Sustainable Commodities is an entity of the UK FCA-regulated specialist investment firm Tramontana Asset Management. We have successfully developed large-scale carbon projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and drive community development.

As part of our carbon business, we work with thousands of smallholder farmers who produce shade-grown arabica coffee (and spices) whilst sequestering carbon emissions. We own and operate a curing works in Andhra Pradesh, purchasing parchment from the local communities and exporting.

Our global team consists of over 100 people. We are headquartered in London and have offices in India and Sri Lanka.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Coffee Mill Manager to oversee and manage production at our new dry mill in Andhra Pradesh.

• Reports To: Dr. Ram Loganathan (UK Director) and Saibaba Abburi (India Country Head)

Main Responsibilities

• Operations Management: Oversee dthe ay-to-day activities of coffee curing.
• Optimization: Extract maximum efficiency from existing infrastructure.
• Quality Control: Build a robust quality assessment process and team to ensure the highest quality output for export.
• Inventory Management: Manage inventory at the mill and export warehouse.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal project teams to manage sourcing and plan delivery timelines.

Key Skills & Experience

• 8+ years’ experience in dry milling and management (ideally in India or South Asia).
• Product Knowledge: Experience specifically with Arabica coffee.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently, make decisions under pressure, and foresee potential problems or challenges.
• Sustainability: Familiarity with sustainable coffee (e.g., single origin, organic, smallholders, certified coffee) is preferable.
• Industry Exposure: Exposure to carbon markets, agroforestry, or impact investing is desirable.
• Languages: Fluency in English and ideally Telugu.
