Who We Are

Vantammayilu is Vizag's only supper social - we host intimate 5-course dinners for 8 strangers every week, exploring world cuisines that simply don't exist anywhere else in the city. We've done Vietnamese and Moroccan. We're just getting started.

Outlandishes is our everyday brand - starting with Vizag's best Banh Mi, 25 a day, made properly.

Who We're Looking For

Not someone who follows recipes. Someone who builds them.

You'll be given a cuisine - say, Vietnamese or Moroccan - and you'll need to go deep. Watch videos, read, experiment, fail, try again, and eventually put a 5-course dinner on the table that surprises people. You'll work closely with the founder, but a lot of this is self-directed.

This role is for someone who finds food genuinely fascinating.

What You'll Do

• Research and develop 5-course menus for upcoming Vantammayilu dinners

• Cook and plate the weekly dinner for 8 guests

• Document every recipe, tweak, and process into clean SOPs

• Guide and train the kitchen assistant on Outlandishes production quality

• Source unique ingredients and figure out local substitutes when needed

 

What We're Looking For

• 1+ years in a kitchen - hotel, restaurant, cloud kitchen, doesn't matter

• Genuine curiosity about world cuisines - if you watch food docs in your free time, that's a green flag

• Ability to work independently and think through problems

• Clear-headed, reliable, and honest

• Willingness to learn and unlearn
