Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
- Fundraising and donor relations:
- Make outbound calls to solicit donations for various campaigns.
- Follow up with potential and existing donors to nurture relationships.
- Achieve targets for donor acquisition and income.
- Maintain positive relationships with donors and address their concerns.
- Communication and outreach:
- Contact potential and existing clients to explain the NGO's mission, services, or products.
- Handle inbound calls, answer questions, and provide information about the organization's work.
- Assist with beneficiary outreach or program sign-ups if applicable to the NGO's work.
- Administration and data management:
- Maintain accurate and detailed call logs and update donor information in the database.
- Prepare reports on calls, donations, and other relevant data.
- Follow predefined scripts while also adapting to individual conversations.
- Customer service:
- Address and resolve any queries or complaints from donors or the public professionally.
- Ensure quality service by adhering to organizational policies and guidelines.
- Performance and compliance:
- Meet daily/weekly call targets and achieve fundraising goals.
- Stay updated on the NGO's projects, campaigns, and impact.
- Handle rejection positively and maintain professionalism.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Communication: Exceptional verbal communication skills and the ability to build rapport. Strong listening and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Empathy: The ability to understand and share the feelings of others is crucial for connecting with donors and beneficiaries, particularly in a non-profit setting.
- Resilience: A patient and positive attitude, especially when dealing with rejection.
- Technical skills: Ability to use a telephone system and update customer/donor databases. Experience with CRM software is a plus.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
- Experience: Previous experience in telecalling, sales, customer service, or the NGO sector is often preferred.
