Tendering Engineer

The Electrical Tendering Engineer is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and submitting competitive electrical tenders and bids for projects. The role involves cost estimation, technical evaluation, coordination with vendors and internal teams, and ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.

• Key ResponsibilitiesReview tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs related to electrical works
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical systems (power, lighting, ELV, earthing, lightning protection, etc.)
• Analyze RFQs and prepare techno-commercial proposals
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
• Evaluate vendor offers and perform comparative analysis
• Prepare tender submissions within deadlines, ensuring compliance with tender requirements
• Clarify technical and commercial queries with clients, consultants, and internal teams
• Support value engineering and cost-optimization proposals
• Assist in post-tender negotiations and contract finalization
• Maintain tender documentation, records, and cost databases
• Coordinate with project execution teams for handover after award

Requirements & QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

• 3–7 years of experience in electrical tendering/estimation (experience range can be adjusted)
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, standards, and local regulations
• Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, Candy, or similar)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical and time-management abilities

Preferred SkillsExperience with OEM, EPC or MEP contracting companies, Utilities ( APSPDCL,APEPDCL,APCPDCL,TGNPSCL,TGSPDCL).

• Knowledge of local authority approvals and codes
• Familiarity with FIDIC or other contract conditions
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
