Job Title: Team Leader – Collections

Summary The Team Leader – Collections is responsible for supervising a team of collection executives to achieve monthly recovery targets. The role involves monitoring team performance, training staff, ensuring adherence to collection policies, resolving escalated cases, and driving process improvements to reduce delinquency.

• Key Responsibilities Team Management Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of collection executives.
• Allocate accounts, monitor daily productivity, and ensure timely follow-ups by the team.
• Conduct regular team meetings to share updates, targets, and performance feedback.
• Train new and existing team members on scripts, negotiation techniques, and compliance.
• Collection Operations Track delinquent accounts and ensure effective recovery strategies are implemented.
• Handle complex or escalated accounts that require senior-level intervention.
• Monitor daily/weekly/monthly collection performance and ensure targets are consistently met.
• Identify risky accounts and escalate them according to company policy.
• Review and validate customer commitments, settlements, and payment arrangements.
• Compliance & Quality Ensure the team follows regulatory guidelines, company policies, and ethical collection practices.
• Audit call quality and provide coaching to improve communication and negotiation skills.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports on collection activities.
• Reporting & Analysis Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for management review.
• Analyze trends in delinquency and suggest corrective actions or process improvements.
• Coordinate with other departments (billing, customer service, legal, credit) to resolve disputes.
• Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
