About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Lead Engineer to join our Navigation and Advanced Technology team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate software professional eager to make a real impact in the avionics domain. You will play a key role in verification and validation activities on DSP and related applications such as Maintenance, OMS, and Dataload systems.

Job Title: Senior Lead Engineer DPS - Hybrid

Experience: 6 to 8 years

 

What you will do:

  • Perform software verification and validation for Avionics DAL A products within the CNS domain.

  • Test and validate avionics systems involving ILS, VOR, DSP, and MB functions, as well as Dataload Protocols (A615, 615A, RS422).

  • Develop supporting tools for verification and testing activities.

  • Execute unit, integration, and system-level tests for embedded navigation software.

  • Develop and implement validation test cases and trace requirements using tools such as DOORS, JIRA, or equivalent.

  • Conduct requirements-based testing and structural coverage analysis to ensure compliance with DO-178B/C standards.

  • Participate in peer reviews of requirements, design, and code to maintain high software quality.

  • Support software audits and certification reviews with regulatory authorities.

  • Document test results, manage anomalies, and drive timely resolution of issues.

  • Collaborate with architects and senior developers to build scalable, extensible, and sustainable avionics software solutions.

 

What we Prefer:

  • Education: BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.

  • Experience: 6–8 years in Avionics software development or verification.

  • Strong understanding of Avionics Systems and Software Architecture.

  • Familiarity with navigation algorithms, IIR Filters, FFT, DFT, RF signal processing, and radio-based avionics systems is a strong plus.

  • Hands-on experience with Python, C/C++, and MATLAB/Simulink.

  • Working knowledge of DO-178B/C processes and compliance standards.

  • Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Solid understanding of DSP concepts and their applications in avionics.

Life-cycle activities including systems engineering, software development and verification. Exploration in new technological frontiers has also been taken up across all areas of CNS Engineering. As a new Engineer to the team, you will get a chance to work with the latest technologies, modular architectures driven by MBD/MBSE and develop new Architectures.
