•	Prepare 2D drawings and layout plans using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
•	Create structural, architectural, and detailed construction drawings.
Drawing Revisions
•	Modify and update drawings based on site changes, redline markups, or instructions from engineers/architects.
•	Ensure the latest drawings are available and distributed to the site team.
As-Built Drawings
•	Prepare accurate as-built drawings based on completed site work.
•	Ensure these drawings reflect final site conditions.
Coordination with Engineers
•	Collaborate with civil engineers and architects to understand design intent and translate it into accurate drawings.
•	Clarify any drawing discrepancies or issues.
Documentation
•	Maintain proper records of drawings, plans, and project documents.
•	Organize hardcopy and digital files for easy retrieval.
•	Maintain daily site records such as logbooks, attendance sheets, delivery notes, etc.
•	Report progress, incidents, or delays to the senior supervisor.
Site Supervision
•	Assist in supervising on-site work to ensure it aligns with project plans, safety standards, and timelines.
•	Monitor the activities of subcontractors, workers, and vendors.
Work Progress Monitoring
•	Track daily work progress and report issues or delays.
•	Ensure the completion of tasks as per schedule and quality standards.
Quality Control
•	Check materials, workmanship, and compliance with drawings and specifications.
•	Flag any defects or non-compliance and report for rectification.
Safety Enforcement
•	Ensure that all site personnel follow health and safety protocols.
•	Conduct basic safety checks and assist in risk assessments.
Site Cleanliness and Order
•	Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe site environment.
•	Ensure waste is managed and disposed of properly.

Required Skills & Qualities
•	Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential)
•	Knowledge of building codes and drawing standards.
•	Basic knowledge of construction methods and materials

Position Overview 
We are looking for a skilled Assistant Engineer with expertise in CAD to join our Fire & Safety Engineering team. The role focuses on creating precise 2D and 3D CAD layouts and design documentation for fire protection and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with NBC, IS, NFPA, and Fire Department standards. 
 
Key Responsibilities 
Ø Develop and update CAD drawings for fire hydrants, sprinklers, alarms, detection systems, smoke management, and evacuation plans. 
Ø Create concept, tender, shop, and as-built drawings based on project needs. 
Ø Ensure compliance with NBC, IS codes (IS 2189, IS 15105, IS 13039, IS 14489), and NFPA standards. 
Ø Manage drawing records, revisions, and documentation for inspections and approvals. 
Ø Assist with fire NOC submissions, layout approvals, and hydraulic design calculations. 
Ø Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and safety consultants for design clarifications. 
Ø Support risk assessments and integrate safety measures into building designs. 
 
Skills & Competencies 
Proficient in AutoCAD (2D) with strong command knowledge. 
In-depth understanding of fire protection systems and MEP layouts. 
Knowledge of NBC, IS, and NFPA fire safety codes. 
Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 
Ability to create professional and visually appealing presentations. 
Typing speed of at least 60 WPM with high accuracy. 
Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines. 
Strong communication and teamwork abilities. 

 
Education & Experience 
ITI/Diploma in Civil or Fire & Safety Engineering (B.E./B.Tech not eligible). 
AutoCAD Certification is mandatory.
