Senior Staff Nurse

Roles and Responsibilities:Reception Management:


Greet patients, visitors, and staff with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
Direct patients to appropriate departments and assist with queries.
Manage the hospital's phone lines, answering calls, and redirecting to the correct departments.
Provide information regarding hospital services, schedules, and general inquiries.

Appointment Scheduling:


Schedule patient appointments, ensuring all necessary details are recorded.
Reschedule or cancel appointments as necessary, keeping patient and provider schedules updated.
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments to optimize appointment slots.

Patient Registration:


Register new patients, inputting their personal details into the hospital’s database.
Ensure all patient documentation (insurance, ID, medical records) is accurately recorded.
Update and maintain patient records, ensuring privacy and confidentiality.

Billing and Payment Processing:


Handle billing queries and direct patients to the appropriate payment channels.
Process payments and issue receipts, ensuring accuracy.
Coordinate with the billing department to resolve any discrepancies.

Visitor Management:


Monitor and control the entry of visitors to ensure safety and privacy.
Provide visitor passes and maintain visitor logs, following hospital policies.

Data Entry & Record Keeping:


Ensure that all patient information and appointment records are accurately entered into the system.
Maintain an up-to-date filing system for patient records, ensuring they are accessible when needed.

Handling Emergency Situations:


Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies, such as directing patients to the emergency department or alerting medical staff.

Customer Service:


Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries and addressing complaints in a timely, professional manner.
Ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients and visitors.

Communication:


Act as the primary communication link between various hospital departments, doctors, and patients.
Relay important messages between staff, patients, and management.

Mail and Correspondence Management:


Sort and distribute incoming mail, ensuring it reaches the relevant department or person.
Handle outgoing correspondence and deliveries as needed.

Office Supplies Management:


Maintain inventory of office supplies (forms, stationery, etc.) and request new stock as necessary.
