Business Execution Manager

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Manager, The purpose of this role is to provide business-specific support to the Wholesale Ops Resiliency Officers / BRMs through risk identification, data and quality maintenance of resiliency plans and management of Enterprise and Wholesale Ops requirements for Resiliency. This role will be accountable for the quality of the plans, will increase the response times of all updates and changes in the ORS (Operational Resiliency System) tool and will be expected to become familiar with the business functions they support as well as the Enterprise Resiliency Framework.


In this role, you will:

  • Manage and develop a team of Business Execution Consultants while ensuring successful planning, integration, impasse resolution, and measurement of operations with moderate to high complexity and visibility
  • Engage functional leaders to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict, and ensure alignment with Wells Fargo's policies and business line objectives
  • Identify potential risks when implementing change along with developing mitigation strategies and plans
  • Recommend opportunities for Business Execution process improvement
  • Determine appropriate strategies and actions of multiple business groups to meet moderate to high complex deliverables
  • Interpret procedures and processes, and provide leadership to strategize and execute a variety of programs, services, and initiatives that are significant in scope, complexity, and risk
  • Collaborate with and influence functional business partners, leaders, and executive management to provide support and drive strategic initiatives for the business
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Business Execution
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years Leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong experience including Resiliency/Business Continuity Management (BCM) & Operations Experience of running teams in a global environment.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in Business Continuity / Operational Resiliency in Banking & Financial (BFSI) / GCCs
  • People Management experience in managing Resources/teams
  • In depth understanding of entire life cycle of BCM (Policy, governance, development of BCPs, SOPs, Response Plans, Site / City Testing , Incident /Crisis management etc.)
  • Work with senior management to develop and execute on Strategy for the Business Resiliency Functions to be performed from I&P
  • Experience in Resiliency Governance, Quality Review, 3rd Party Resiliency, Reporting & Analytics, Exercise & Maintenance, Service Governance, Resiliency Transformation, Change Management, Continuous Improvement, Controls for Resiliency, Incident Management.
  • Partner with various stakeholders & business partners globally and in the region to successfully deliver on the Global Delivery Functions
  • Strong understanding of Operational framework in a global environment including delivering to SLAs and ensure Business Resiliency functions are delivering to the Global requirements.
  • Understanding of associated risk, successful performance in a risk-based environment with a proven track record of risk reduction
  • Build a positive risk culture, where processes are constantly challenged, risks are proactively identified and mitigated / managed on end-to-end basis.
  • Build a culture of continued learning leveraging internal trainings and external certifications / industry certifications.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives, by participating and providing inputs on Resiliency related activities / change requests /process enhancements /taxonomy / services /critical products /New Tool Build out / System of Records/Reporting and Analytics
  • Build Deep understanding of the Resiliency Policy and framework, Reporting Tools and leverage data for management reporting, MIS and key short term / long term strategic decisions.
  • Management Reporting for various reviews. Develop mechanisms for strong framework for management reporting, MIS, tracking of actions and evidencing of tracking and closure of any actions on end-to-end basis.
  • Building and managing stakeholder relationships with key partners
  • Hands on ability to work on Data / MIS /Reporting / management presentations for Senior Stakeholders and Business Reviews 
  • Strong communication, presentation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • University: Degree in Business or related discipline, MBA preferable
  • Industry Certification in Business Continuity would be preferable. 

Job Expectations:

  • Manage the delivery of Wholesale Ops Business Resiliency performed out of India and Philippines
  • Some of the Key Stakeholders include the leadership team of Global Resiliency Leads, I &P Leadership Team, Controls, and various Business Groups
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven global operations environment.
  • Excellent Communication, planning and organizing skills
  • Exposure to tools like Everbridge / Service Now / Tableau / Fusion / SharePoint etc.
  • Industry certification on Business Continuity from bodies like BCI /DRI
  • Timings will require at least half a day overlap with USA, with shift timing subject change to earlier or later hours in line with business requirement.
  • Candidate must be based out of posted location (Hyderabad/Bangalore) and will be required to work in the office as per organization’s In Office Adherence / Return To Office (RTO) at a minimum of 4 days per week.
