Job Title: Civil Billing Engineer

Location: plot No-340- Sec-4 Vaishali Ghaziabad

Reports to: Project MD 

Job Summary:

The Civil Billing Engineer will be responsible for managing and preparing the billing for civil construction works in real estate projects. The role includes preparing and certifying bills, maintaining records, managing measurements, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in billing for all civil engineering activities on site.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Billing & Documentation:

• Prepare detailed project cost estimates and bills of quantities (BOQ).

• Certification of contractor and subcontractor bills according to the work completed.

• Ensure that measurements and quantities are verified as per site conditions and drawings.

• Preparation of RA (Running Account) bills as per the progress of the project.

• Maintain detailed documentation of all billing activities including invoices, materials, and labor used.

2. Coordination & Communication:

• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to gather work progress data.

• Liaise with clients, consultants, and the finance team to ensure timely billing and payments.

• Assist in the preparation of project budget forecasts and cash flow statements.

3. Measurement & Quantity Surveying:

• Conduct on-site measurements and verification of completed work.

• Analyze BOQs, contracts, and drawings to validate the quantities executed.

• Update the measurement books (MB) on a regular basis.

4. Cost Control & Variance Analysis:

• Monitor actual costs versus estimated costs and report any deviations.

• Participate in value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Assist in cost control and budget tracking to ensure projects stay within budget.

5. Compliance & Standards:

• Ensure all billing activities comply with company standards and legal requirements.

• Verify that all documentation and billing align with contractual terms and conditions.

6. Software & Tools Usage:

• Use ERP and billing software for preparing bills, tracking progress, and managing records.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and other relevant engineering tools for preparing bills and reports.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of billing processes, contract terms, and cost estimation.

• Good understanding of civil engineering concepts, BOQ, and work progress certifications.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural and civil engineering drawings.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in billing calculations and documentation.

• Proficiency in billing software, MS Excel, AutoCAD, and ERP systems.

• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

• Problem-solving and analytical skills for effective cost control and variance analysis.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Civil Engineering.

• years of experience in billing, estimation, and quantity surveying in the real estate or construction industry.

• Knowledge of various construction methods, materials, and standards is a plus.

• Familiarity with ERP systems and project management tools.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Willingness to travel to different project sites if required.
