Job Description
The Fundraising Expert will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies of the organization. This individual will manage relationships, lead fundraising campaigns, and identify new funding opportunities, including family offices, HNIs, VC/PE/FoF, partnerships, and sponsorships. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in fundraising, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and Implement Fundraising Strategies:
• Create and execute a strategic fundraising plan.
• Set and achieve monthly fundraising targets.
• Identify new opportunities for funding and revenue streams.
2. Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with investor networks, sponsors, and partners.
• Develop personalized stewardship plans to engage and retain investors.
• Ensure timely and appropriate acknowledgment of all fundraisers .
• Conduct regular follow-up with investors to provide updates on the impact of their contributions.
3. Fundraising Campaigns and Events:
• Plan and oversee the execution of fundraising campaigns, including annual appeals, capital campaigns, and online fundraising initiatives.
• Organize and manage fundraising events, including galas, auctions, and donor appreciation events.
• Work with marketing and communications teams to create promotional materials for campaigns and events.
4. Grant Writing and Management:
• Research and identify grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and corporations.
• Write compelling grant proposals and submit applications in a timely manner.
• Monitor and manage grant reporting requirements to ensure compliance and maintain funding.
5. Data Management and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of contributions and interactions in the management system (CRM).
• Track and report on fundraising progress and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Prepare regular fundraising reports for leadership and board members.
6. Collaborate with Internal Teams:
• Work closely with the communications and marketing teams to align fundraising efforts with the organization’s messaging and outreach.
• Collaborate with program staff to understand funding needs and communicate impact to donors.
• Engage with board members and fundraising committees to maximize fundraising efforts.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in management, marketing, business administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience (3-5+ years) in fundraising, investors relations, or a similar role.
• Strong track record of securing major gifts, grants, and sponsorships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and proposals.
• Experience managing and organizing large-scale events.
• Proficient in using fundraising software, CRM systems, and donor databases.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of fundraising regulations and ethical standards.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with digital fundraising platforms and social media campaigns.
• Familiarity with corporate giving programs and cause marketing.
• Experience working in a nonprofit, education, or healthcare sector is a plus.
