Responsibilities:
Ø Patch Management: Develop, implement, and manage a patch management strategy to keep software, operating systems, and hardware up to date with the latest security patches, updates, and hotfixes.
Ø Patch Deployment: Deploy patches and updates to servers, workstations, and network devices, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Schedule and coordinate patch deployments during maintenance windows.
Ø Vulnerability Assessment: Identify vulnerabilities in software, operating systems, and applications by monitoring security bulletins and using vulnerability scanning tools.
Ø Risk Assessment: Evaluate the impact and criticality of identified vulnerabilities, prioritizing patch deployment based on risk and potential impact on the organization.
Ø Testing: Test patches and updates in a controlled environment to ensure they do not conflict with existing systems and applications.
Ø Documentation: Maintain detailed records of patching activities, including schedules, procedures, and patch history. Ensure compliance with documentation and audit requirements.
Ø Security Compliance: Ensure that the organization complies with industry standards, security policies, and regulations regarding patch management.
Ø Security Awareness: Raise awareness within the organization about the importance of keeping software and systems up to date to mitigate security risks.
Ø Incident Response: Contribute to the incident response plan by assisting in the recovery process and applying patches in response to security incidents.
Ø Vendor Management: Collaborate with software and hardware vendors to stay informed about patches, updates, and known vulnerabilities, and negotiate patching agreements.
Ø Automated Patching: Implement automated patching solutions to streamline the patch management process and improve efficiency.

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in IS, Computer Science, MIS Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. But relevant certifications and experience can be valuable.

· Excellent Communication and interpersonal Skills


Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field is preferred, but practical experience and certifications may be considered.

Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of patch management tools and technologies, including familiarity with systems and network infrastructure.

Vulnerability Assessment: Understanding of vulnerability assessment tools and methodologies.

Cybersecurity Knowledge: Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices, particularly related to patch management and vulnerability remediation.

Documentation Skills: Proficiency in maintaining detailed records and reports of patch management activities.

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and address patch-related issues.

Communication Skills: Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with various IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders.

Adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing technologies and evolving security threats.
