Job Overview:


We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting activities within the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulatory requirements, and efficient management of financial operations. The Senior Accountant will also work closely with other departments to provide financial insights, support decision-making, and ensure the timely preparation of financial statements.




Key Responsibilities:


1. **Financial Reporting:**

  - Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with Indian accounting standards (Ind AS) and IFRS.

  - Generate financial reports (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow, etc.) for internal stakeholders, management, and regulatory bodies.

  - Prepare tax returns (GST, TDS, Income Tax) and ensure timely submission to authorities.

  

2. **General Accounting:**

  - Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and bookkeeping.

  - Manage and supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

  - Ensure proper accounting of fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and inventory management.


3. **Taxation & Compliance:**

  - Ensure compliance with indirect tax (GST, VAT) and direct tax (TDS, income tax) regulations.

  - Coordinate with tax consultants for assessments, audits, and filings, including GST returns and tax computations.

  - Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and implement necessary changes within the company.


4. **Audit & Internal Controls:**

  - Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure all audit requirements are met.

  - Ensure proper internal controls are in place to mitigate financial risks and maintain accuracy.

  - Assist with internal audit processes and improve financial reporting processes.


5. **Cash Flow Management:**

  - Monitor cash flow and provide recommendations for effective cash management.

  - Prepare monthly and quarterly cash flow projections.

  

6. **Team Management & Coordination:**

  - Supervise and mentor junior accountants and support staff, providing guidance on accounting procedures and best practices.

  - Ensure the team meets deadlines and maintains accuracy in financial records.

  - Work closely with cross-functional teams (sales, procurement, HR) to ensure smooth financial operations.


7. **Cost Control & Budgeting:**

  - Assist in budget preparation and cost analysis to optimize company expenditure.

  - Monitor cost control measures and provide recommendations for improving cost-efficiency.

  

8. **Financial Analysis & Forecasting:**

  - Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, to assess the company’s financial performance.

  - Provide forecasts and projections based on historical data, industry trends, and business performance.

### **Required Skills & Qualifications:**


- **Educational Qualifications:**

  - Chartered Accountant (CA), or MBA (Finance) or equivalent in accounting/finance.

  - Additional certifications like CMA, CPA, or any relevant certification would be an advantage.


- **Work Experience:**

  - Minimum 5-8 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3-4 years in a senior or supervisory role.

  - Experience in working with accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, MS Dynamics) is essential.

  - Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, Income Tax Act, and other regulatory compliance matters.


- **Technical Skills:**

  - Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial tools.

  - Strong understanding of tax regulations and laws in India.

  - Familiarity with accounting systems and ERP tools.


- **Key Competencies:**

  - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

  - Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

  - Leadership and team management abilities.

  - Problem-solving attitude and ability to work independently.

- Experience with international accounting standards (IFRS).

- Experience in handling statutory and internal audits.
