Deputy Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the control and instrumentation (C & I) team, providing guidance and support to ensure the efficient and safe operation of equipment and processes
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize C & I systems, contributing to the overall productivity and reliability of the operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols, fostering a culture of safety and best practices
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the performance and integrity of C & I systems, initiating corrective actions as necessary
• Participate in the planning and execution of maintenance and shutdown activities, coordinating C & I requirements with other departments
• Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting and resolving C & I issues, minimizing downtime and disruptions
• Contribute to the development of long-term asset management plans, focusing on reliability, efficiency, and sustainability
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, growth, and collaboration
• Communicate and align with senior management on C & I performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement

Qualifications

• Minimum of 13-18 years of experience in the Copper Business industry
• Demonstrated track record of leadership and technical expertise
• Proven experience in managing control and instrumentation functions
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field. Master's degree in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
