Senior Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee mechanical maintenance activities to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of equipment and machinery in the copper production facility.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to schedule and execute preventive maintenance, shutdown activities, and overhauls.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the mechanical maintenance team.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of spare parts and maintenance materials.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to maintenance activities, equipment history, and performance reports.
• Participate in the selection and evaluation of new equipment and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Mentor and coach junior team members to build a high-performing and engaged mechanical maintenance team.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and operations within the Copper industry or similar heavy industries.
• Demonstrated track record of effectively managing mechanical systems and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proven experience in coordinating and leading mechanical maintenance teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
