Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with a strong background in inventory management. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant work experience and will be responsible for overseeing and managing our inventory accounting processes. This role is essential in ensuring accurate inventory records, optimizing inventory levels, and supporting overall financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the accounting system.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  1. Accounting and Financial Reporting:

  • Record and reconcile inventory transactions, including purchases, transfers, adjustments, and disposals.
  • Prepare and analyze inventory-related financial statements and reports.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes related to inventory.
  1. Cost Accounting:

  • Calculate and analyze inventory costs, including overhead allocation and variance analysis.
  • Support standard costing processes and update cost records as necessary.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of inventory valuation methods.
  1. Internal Controls:

  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls over inventory processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvements and recommend solutions.
  1. Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with the operations, procurement, and warehouse teams to resolve inventory issues.
  • Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Assist in the implementation and optimization of inventory management systems.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting with a focus on inventory management.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and inventory management practices.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems; experience with [specific software] is a plus.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
