Reports to: Regional Sales Manager / Sales Manager

Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent



Job Overview:


We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Area Sales Officer (ASO) to join our dynamic sales team. The Area Sales Officer will be responsible for driving sales growth in a defined geographic area, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing relationships with key clients. You will be the key liaison between the company and local customers, building a strong customer base and increasing market penetration for our products and services.


     Key Responsibilities:


1. Sales Strategy and Execution


     Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve area-specific sales targets and KPIs.

     Identify new business opportunities within the assigned area and maintain relationships with existing clients.

     Ensure that sales quotas and monthly/yearly targets are met or exceeded.


2. Customer Relationship Management


     Build and maintain strong relationships with both potential and existing customers.

     Understand customer needs and tailor solutions to meet those needs.

     Resolve customer complaints, queries, and issues promptly to ensure high levels of satisfaction.


3. Market Analysis


Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences within the area.

Provide regular feedback to the management team regarding customer insights, market demands, and competitor strategies.

Adjust sales strategies as necessary based on market trends and feedback.


4. Sales Reporting

    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, leads, customer contacts, and   

    sales pipeline.

    Prepare and submit Daily/Weekly/Monthly sales reports to management.

    Analyze performance data and adjust tactics to meet and exceed sales targets.


5. Product Knowledge

    Stay updated on the latest product offerings, features, benefits, and pricing.

    Provide technical or product support to customers when necessary.

    Educate customers about new products, promotions, and upcoming releases.


6. Team Collaboration

    Work closely with the marketing team to execute promotional campaigns and events in the  assigned area.

    Collaborate with other members of the sales team to share insights, opportunities, and best practices.


7. Sales Presentation & Negotiation

    Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to potential clients.

    Negotiate and close deals, ensuring both customer and company interests are met.

    Ensure all documentation related to sales is completed in a timely manner (Sales Orders, Contracts,   

    Invoices).


8. Inventory & Distribution Management

   Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.

   Ensure the proper management of stock levels and prevent stock-outs or overstock situations within the area.


Qualifications & Skills:


Education 


 Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred).

 Relevant certifications or additional sales training will be an advantage.


Experience


 2+ years of experience in sales, preferably in a field-based role (FMCG, retail, pharmaceuticals, etc.

 Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key accounts.


Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent negotiation and closing skills.

Analytical thinking and ability to adapt strategies based on market dynamics.

Good time management and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Technical Proficiency:

Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce, Zoho, etc.) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Ability to generate and present sales reports.


Personal Traits


Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and resilient in the face of challenges.

Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach.

Ability to travel frequently within the designated area.

Commission-Based Earning Potential:


Base Salary : 20000-25000

  

Commission: 


Commission is based on sales performance and will be awarded for achieving or exceeding monthly/quarterly sales targets.

Commission Structure: Competitive and incentivized structure based on individual and team sales achievements.

Earnings Potential: Top performers can earn up to [Insert Percentage] of their base salary in commission, which could significantly increase the overall earning potential.

Incentives: Additional bonuses and rewards may be offered for surpassing sales targets, securing large accounts, or completing major deals.
