Job Description: Area Sales Manager – Pune Region


Role Overview

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales and expanding the market for our wooden floors, wall panels, and carpet tiles. The candidate will focus on identifying and onboarding distributors, channel partners, and project sales partners while building strong relationships with builders, turnkey contractors, and interior designers.


Key Responsibilities


Channel Development:

Identify, evaluate, and appoint distributors and channel partners for reselling our products.


Build and nurture strong relationships with channel partners to ensure consistent sales growth.


Project Sales:

Identify and onboard project sales partners.


Visit builders, turnkey contractors, and interior designers to get our products specified in projects.


Sales Execution:

Meet and exceed sales targets for wooden flooring, wall panels, and carpet tiles.


Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and emerging trends.


Maintain a pipeline of potential clients and projects.


Customer Relationship Management:

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and providing timely support.


Foster long-term relationships with key clients.


Reporting and Planning:

Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback.


Develop and implement a regional sales plan in alignment with company goals.


Key Result Areas (KRAs)

Achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.


Appointment and activation of distributors, channel partners, and project sales partners.


Product specification in projects by builders, interior designers, and contractors.


Market penetration and increased brand visibility.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Number of new partners and clients onboarded.


Revenue generated against targets.


Volume of product sales by category.


Feedback and satisfaction ratings from partners and clients.



Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.


Experience: Minimum 5 years in sales, preferably in industries like plywood, paint, tiles, laminates, flooring, or marble.


Skills:

Strong communication and negotiation skills.


Ability to speak the local language (Marathi) fluently and communicate effectively in Hindi and English.


Proven ability to meet sales targets and drive business growth.


Other Requirements:

Must own a vehicle, preferably a car, for client visits.


Strong understanding of the Pune market and its customer base.


Well-spoken, with a professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills.


Expectations

Open to traveling within the Pune region to meet clients and partners.
