  1. Finding new customers: Sales representatives identify potential customers and leads, and reach out to them through cold calling.
  2. Building relationships: Sales representatives establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, and work to ensure their satisfaction.
  3. Understanding products: Sales representatives learn about the products or services they sell, and have a strong understanding of them.
  4. Presenting products: Sales representatives demonstrate product features to customers, and prepare sales presentations.
  5. Negotiating contracts: Sales representatives negotiate contracts with clients.
  6. Closing sales: Sales representatives close sales deals.
  7. Following up: Sales representatives follow up with customers, as research shows that most
  8. Customers require multiple follow-ups before making a purchase.
  9. Monitoring competition: Sales representatives monitor the competition by gathering information on pricing, products, and trends.
  10. Coordinating with other departments: Sales representatives coordinate sales efforts with other departments, such as marketing and company programs.

  12. Resolving customer issues: Sales representatives resolve customer complaints and provide solutions.
