Senior Surveyor
A NATM (New Austrian Tunneling Method) Senior Surveyor with a minimum of 10 years of experience in DGPS (Differential Global Positioning System) surveys plays a crucial role in the planning, execution, and management of surveying tasks required for tunnel construction projects. The primary responsibilities include ensuring accurate and precise survey data, overseeing survey teams, and coordinating with engineering and construction teams to support the successful implementation of tunnel projects.
Responsibilities:
Survey Planning and Execution:
- Develop detailed survey plans for tunnel construction projects using NATM.
- Conduct and supervise DGPS surveys, topographic surveys, and setting out works.
- Ensure the accuracy and precision of survey data and measurements.
Data Management:
- Collect, process, and analyze survey data.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of survey results.
- Utilize survey software and tools for data processing and management.
Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and construction teams to provide survey data for project planning and execution.
- Communicate survey results and progress to project managers and stakeholders.
- Address and resolve any survey-related issues or discrepancies.
Quality Control and Assurance:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy of survey data.
- Conduct regular checks and validations of survey instruments and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Team Management:
- Supervise and train junior surveyors and survey teams.
- Assign tasks and monitor the performance of survey personnel.
- Foster a safe and productive working environment for the survey team.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support and guidance on surveying methodologies and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to surveying equipment and software.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in survey technology and techniques.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications in surveying and geomatics are advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in surveying, with a significant portion in DGPS surveys.
- Extensive experience in NATM tunneling projects is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in using DGPS equipment and survey instruments (total stations, levels, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of survey software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure the accuracy of survey data.
- Ability to analyze complex survey data and provide actionable insights.
Project Management Skills:
- Experience in managing survey teams and coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting and collaboration.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Physical Fitness:
- Ability to work in challenging and varied environmental conditions, including rough terrain and underground settings.
Certifications and Licenses:
- Relevant professional licenses and certifications in surveying and geomatics
