Job Title: Instrumentation Control Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instrumentation Control Engineer to oversee the

design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems in

heavy work environments, such as construction sites, mining operations, or large industrial

facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in control systems, automation, and

instrumentation for heavy-duty machinery and equipment, ensuring efficient and safe operation

in challenging and dynamic environments.

Responsibilities:

Design & Implementation:

Design and implement control and instrumentation systems for heavy machinery, including

sensors, actuators, control panels, and communication systems.

System Integration:

Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and operations teams to integrate instrumentation and

control systems with other equipment.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Perform regular maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of control systems to ensure

optimal functionality and safety.

Automation & Optimization:

Develop and apply automation solutions to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance

the overall performance of heavy machinery and systems.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure all instrumentation and control systems comply with industry safety standards and

regulations.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of system designs, modifications, maintenance schedules, and any

incidents or malfunctions.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination:

Liaise with equipment manufacturers, vendors, and site supervisors to ensure proper installation

and functionality of systems.

Project Management:

Oversee instrumentation and control system aspects of construction, expansion, or maintenance

projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget.

Training & Support:

Provide training to on-site personnel on proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control

systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering / Electronics & Communication.

5+ years of experience in instrumentation and control systems in heavy work environments.

Proficient in PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI programming and troubleshooting.

Strong knowledge of sensor technologies, process instrumentation, and automation systems.

Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards for industrial sites.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in hazardous environments or explosive atmospheres.

Knowledge of advanced automation technologies like AI, IoT, and robotics for heavy industry

applications.

Professional certification in control systems engineering (e.g., ISA, CSE).
