Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Android Developer with 3 to 5 years of experience in the fintech or banking domain to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Android development, along with proficiency in various technologies and frameworks crucial for building robust banking applications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain Android applications tailored to the banking sector.
2. Implement new features and enhancements, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security standards are met.
3. Translate business requirements into technical solutions, considering scalability, usability, and maintainability.
4. Conduct code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure code quality and optimize application performance.
5. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve development processes and methodologies.
6. Work closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
7. Dynamically adjust UI text size without distortion, considering accessibility features and user preferences.
8. Manage the app upload process to the Android Play Store including code signing with certificate, and submission requirements.
9. Participate in agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
2. Proven experience developing Android applications using Java and/or Kotlin.
3. Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
4. Experience with Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and Android Studio.
5. Knowledge of MVVM architecture, LiveData, Room, and other Android architectural components.
6. Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to backend services.
7. Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
8. Strong understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
9. Ability to handle screen orientation changes gracefully, ensuring a seamless user experience across different device orientations.
10. Knowledge of secure coding practices and familiarity with encryption standards.
11. Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
12. Experience with version control systems such as Git.
13. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with agile development methodologies.
2. Knowledge of backend services and databases (SQLite, Room)
3. Experience with automated testing and deployment.
4. Contributions to open-source projects or published Android apps. Familiarity with mobile payment systems and digital wallets.

Additional Good to have Qualifications:

·        Knowledge of hybrid app development frameworks such as Flutter or React Native, enabling the ability to build cross-platform applications.
