Job Title: Store Incharge (Construction)

Location: ISKCON Kurukshetra Temple Construction Site, Kurukshetra, Haryana

Department: Construction

Reports To: Project Manager / Site Manager


Job Overview

The Store Incharge will be responsible for managing the storage and distribution of materials at the ISKCON Kurukshetra Temple construction site. The individual will ensure efficient management of inventory , proper documentation, and adherence to safety protocols. The role demands maintaining an accurate record of materials, minimizing wastage, and ensuring smooth coordination between vendors, the procurement team, and construction staff.


Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:


Oversee daily operations of the construction store.

Maintain accurate records of all materials coming in and going out.

Conduct periodic stock checks and audits.

Ensure materials are properly tagged, stored, and easily accessible.

Material Handling:


Supervise the unloading, receiving, and storage of materials.

Monitor quality control when accepting deliveries to ensure materials are per the required specifications.

Organize and control the issuance of construction materials, ensuring proper tracking and accountability.

Procurement Coordination:


Coordinate with the procurement team for material requirements.

Track and follow up on pending orders with suppliers.

Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Documentation & Reporting:


Maintain detailed records for inventory, stock reports, and requisition slips.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports of material consumption and stock levels.

Ensure that all documentation is properly filed and compliant with organizational protocols.

Safety & Compliance:


Ensure the store is organized, clean, and adheres to safety regulations.

Implement measures to prevent theft, loss, and damage to materials.

Train store staff on proper material handling procedures.

Coordination with Teams:


Collaborate with site engineers, supervisors, and the procurement team to forecast material needs.

Ensure timely distribution of materials to construction teams.


Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Store Management, Supply Chain, Civil Engineering, or a related field.


Minimum 1-3 years of experience in store management, preferably at a construction site.

Knowledge of inventory management software/tools.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and inventory management software.

Strong understanding of construction materials and their handling.

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.

Preferred:

Prior experience working on large construction projects, preferably in religious or temple construction.

Knowledge of local suppliers and construction regulations.
