Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Chartered Accountant (CA) with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working directly within a trading company (not CA firms or as a consultant) in the trading industry of technology products, along with strong expertise in Export–Import documentation, compliance, and banking procedures. The ideal candidate will manage complete accounts, taxation, EXIM documentation, financial controls, and statutory compliance for our domestic and international trading operations.

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely month-end/annual closures.
Prepare financial statements: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, MIS reports.
Conduct margin analysis and product-wise profitability reports.

2. Taxation & Compliance
Complete GST management: returns, reconciliations (GSTR-1, 3B, 2B), audits.
Handle TDS/TCS compliance, returns, and certificate reconciliations.
Prepare and file Income Tax returns; assist in statutory & tax audits.
Ensure compliance with Companies Act, labour laws, and trading regulations.

3. Export–Import (EXIM) Documentation & Compliance
Prepare and review all Export Documentation:
Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Shipping Bill, e-Sanchit filing
LUT filing for GST exports
Export incentives and duty drawback documentation

Prepare and manage Import Documentation:
Bill of Entry, BOE reconciliation, vendor invoices, freight charges
Manage customs duty calculations and HS code classification
Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs.
Ensure compliance with DGFT, ICEGATE, RBI FEMA guidelines.

Handle Banking for EXIM:
LC (Letter of Credit), Advance payment, TT payments
Realisation of export proceeds, BRC/FIRC follow-up
Import payment documentation and bank reconciliation

4. Inventory & Trading Finance
Manage stock valuation, reconciliations, ageing, and SKU-level profitability.
Oversee procurement, purchase orders, GRN, and sales invoicing cycles.
Monitor receivables/payables, credit limits, and customer/vendor ageing.

5. Audit & Internal Controls
Lead internal audits and liaise with external auditors.
Implement and strengthen internal financial controls and SOPs.
Identify gaps and ensure compliance across all processes.

6. Budgeting, Forecasting & Management Reporting
Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
Analyse cost structures, variance analysis, and business performance metrics.
Provide financial insights for pricing, procurement, and product strategies.


Required Skills & Qualifications
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with minimum 5 years’ in-house experience working within a trading company (mandatory — experience in CA firms or as a consultant will not be considered).
Mandatory experience in Trading Industry, preferably IT hardware, electronics, or tech products.
Strong expertise in Export–Import operations and documentation.
Hands-on experience with Tally/ERP, Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP), GST portal, and ICEGATE.
Sound knowledge of Accounting Standards, GST, TDS, Income Tax, FEMA (EXIM).
Strong communication, analytical mindset, and ability to work independently.
