Engineering Manager- C++

The Opportunity 

Customer Experience Orchestration (CXO) is a key part of Adobe’s strategy to help enterprises deliver personalized and connected customer experiences at scale. 

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a strong engineering team within Adobe Campaign, with a primary focus on driving the product's security strategy and initiatives while providing broader technical and people leadership. 

The Challenge 

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead technical execution, people development, and strategic engineering initiatives. Your role will focus on: 

• Security Leadership: Own and drive key security initiatives for Adobe Campaign, working closely with Security and engineering teams to identify risks, prioritize remediation, and continuously strengthen the product's security posture. 

• Technical Leadership: Drive architecture and technical decisions for complex, scalable, and reliable systems. 

• People Leadership: Mentor and develop engineers, support career growth, and build a high-performing engineering team. 

• Engineering Excellence: Drive high standards across software quality, reliability, performance, operational excellence, and engineering practices. 

• Product Leadership: Partner with Product, Architecture, Quality Engineering, Security, and other stakeholders to translate business and customer needs into effective technical solutions. 

Roles & Responsibilities 

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers. 

• Own and drive the security charter for Adobe Campaign, including security improvements, vulnerability remediation, and collaboration with internal security organizations. 

• Provide technical direction and oversight across the team's engineering initiatives. 

• Drive scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions through strong engineering practices and technical decision-making. 

• Partner with cross-functional teams to define priorities, manage execution, and deliver high-quality outcomes. 

• Identify and address technical, operational, and architectural challenges. 

• Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes, systems, and team practices. 

• Participate in hiring and career development of engineers. 

• Work effectively with geographically distributed teams in a fast-paced Agile environment. 

Required Skills & Expertise 

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including experience managing engineering teams. 

• Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, cloud architecture, design patterns, and frameworks. 

• Strong computer science fundamentals and system design experience. 

• Application security & vulnerability management for enterprise SaaS: Experience with threat modelling, secure code review, source/sink/escaper taint analysis, and remediation of OWASP Top 10 and related vulnerability classes, including injection, broken authentication/authorization, CSRF, SSRF, XXE, XSS, and multi-stage pre-auth RCE chains across native C++, server-side JavaScript, web, and SOAP/REST surfaces. 

• AI engineering leadership: Strong understanding of LLMs, agentic AI, and AI-assisted software development practices, with the ability to leverage AI to improve developer productivity, code quality, and security review throughput. 

• Experience with AWS and/or Azure and modern engineering tools and practices. 

• Strong programming experience in C++, Java, Python, or similar languages. 

• Experience building scalable and reliable enterprise software. 

• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. 

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience driving security initiatives for enterprise software products. 

• Familiarity with security scanning, CVE remediation, threat modeling, authentication/authorization, or security compliance. 

• Experience working with large-scale enterprise SaaS products.
