Job Description Summary

The Assistant Project Manager / Project Manager shall be responsible for managing assigned construction projects on behalf of the Client, ensuring delivery within approved cost, time, quality, safety, and statutory requirements. The role involves coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle from design through handover.

About the Role

  • Assist in preparing the Project Execution Plan (PEP).
  • Develop and monitor project schedules and milestones.
  • Track project progress against approved baselines.
  • Coordinate project activities from design to project closeout.
  • Ensure timely decision-making to avoid delays.
  • Identify project risks and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Conduct regular project review meetings.
  • Coordinate with architects and design consultants.
  • Review design deliverables for constructability.
  • Monitor issuance of drawings and approvals.
  • Resolve design-related issues during construction.
  • Ensure timely closure of RFIs and technical queries.
  • Supervise day-to-day construction activities.
  • Monitor contractor performance.
  • Ensure works comply with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Verify construction progress.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary activities including Civil, Structural, MEP, Façade, Interiors, and External Development.
  • Support testing and commissioning activities.
  • Monitor project budgets.
  • Review contractor RA Bills.
  • Verify work measurements.
  • Monitor variations and change orders.
  • Assist in cost control and forecasting.
  • Review contractor claims.
  • Coordinate with quantity surveyors.
  • Monitor Primavera/MS Project schedules.
  • Identify critical path activities.
  • Monitor recovery plans.
  • Track procurement and construction milestones.
  • Ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Management Plan.
  • Monitor inspections and testing.
  • Review NCRs and corrective actions.
  • Ensure quality documentation is maintained.
  • Participate in quality audits.
  • Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements.
  • Monitor contractor safety performance.
  • Participate in safety inspections.
  • Ensure closure of safety observations.
  • Promote a strong safety culture.
  • Coordinate procurement schedules.
  • Track long-lead items.
  • Monitor material approvals.
  • Coordinate vendor inspections.
  • Ensure timely delivery of project materials.
  • Coordinate with Client representatives.
  • Liaise with consultants and contractors.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly review meetings.
  • Prepare presentations for management reviews.
  • Maintain excellent client relationships

About You

  • 8–10 years of experience in construction project management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) environment.
  • Experience managing large multidisciplinary building projects.
  • Exposure to design coordination, procurement, construction supervision, testing & commissioning, and project closeout.
  • Experience working with reputed developers, consultants, or EPC contractors is preferred.
