Location: Kochi
Must have skills: Managing Linux Systems
Good to have skills: SQL/No SQL
Experience: 3-5 years of experience is required

Your Role
As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will be operating an e-commerce solution built over on-prem and cloud infrastructure. You will be involved in maintaining and improving the client’s business platforms. You will be responsible for the site reliability and platform stability. You will be expected to respond to incidents, support on problems, execute changes and be part of a project to improve or reengineer the platform.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To collaborate with specialist teams within the organization and third-party suppliers, to deliver outstanding results for our clients
- Actively participate in our shift-left strategy via tools, automation, process and self-service functions to empower the business and other IT teams
- Strong business communication skills with stakeholders
- Configure and optimize hybrid and cloud native systems
- Major incident management within our SLA scope
- Maintaining data integrity and access control by making use of operational tools
- Strategize Cloud cost optimization
- Proactively identify preventive mechanisms to mitigate risk of service disruptions
- Demonstrate a proactive way of working by anticipating operational needs, identifying risks and improvement opportunities early, and taking ownership of preventive actions through to completion
- Major vulnerability patching, system upgrades/migrations and reporting
- Execute/coordinate root cause analysis of P1/P2 incidents
- Plan and manage major deployments
- Develop automation scripts as needed to enhance operational efficiencies
- Ensure training material and technical documentation on new and existing operating process are kept up-to-date
- Reporting key metrics to the service manager
- Participate and contribute to our Agile way of working including planning, retrospectives and showcases
- Document and track issues and reasonable steps taken within the ticket management system
- You must be willing to work in shifts.
