Engineer - Drive Away Chassis

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Design and development of Suspension & Chassis systems for vehicle programs.
2. Perform system design calculations and vehicle dynamics analysis to meet performance targets.
3. Conduct fastener selection and strength calculations.
4. Drive benchmarking activities and cascade system-level targets into component requirements.
5. Prepare and maintain DVP&R, DFMEA, and related design validation documents.
6. Collaborate with CAE teams for design optimization, simulation correlation, and performance improvements.
7. Review and approve supplier and in-house engineering drawings.
8. Resolve technical and manufacturing feasibility issues with suppliers.
9.Coordinate with Material Management and cross-functional teams for timely part development and sourcing.
10.Develop rig test plans and validation strategies to establish durability and reliability targets.
11. Lead root cause analysis and resolution of development and field-related concerns.
12. Execute cost reduction and weight optimization initiatives without compromising quality and performance.
13. Prepare and analyze tolerance stack-ups to ensure fit, function, and manufacturability.
14. Ensure compliance with quality, performance, cost, and timing requirements throughout the product development lifecycle.
