Life on the Team

Computacenter's GIS business unit is seeking an experienced Senior SAP Test Analyst (Senior Functional Test Engineer) to support the delivery of testing across complex SAP transformation programmes. You will play a key role in planning, designing, coordinating, and executing end-to-end SAP testing activities, ensuring business processes are thoroughly validated and delivered to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with the SAP Test Manager, SAP Functional Consultants, Business Process Owners, System Integrators, and business stakeholders, you will contribute to successful programme delivery by driving quality throughout the testing lifecycle.

 

What You'll Do

 

Test Planning (30%)

• Support the development and execution of SAP Test Strategies and Test Plans covering System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression, Performance, Security and Cutover testing.
• Review business and functional requirements, configuration documents and functional specifications to ensure they are complete, testable and aligned to business processes.
• Design, develop, review and maintain high-quality SAP test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts with full requirements traceability.
• Prepare test data, coordinate test environments and support business user access and testing readiness activities.
• Work closely with SAP Functional Consultants and Business SMEs to ensure comprehensive end-to-end business process coverage.

 

Test Execution (50%)

• Execute and coordinate functional and end-to-end testing across SAP business processes and integrated applications.
• Validate SAP configuration, interfaces, reports, workflows, enhancements, forms and data migration activities.
• Record, prioritise, and manage defects, working with Functional Consultants and development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Support defect triage sessions and perform defect retesting and regression testing.
• Analyse test results and provide regular progress updates, quality metrics and recommendations to the SAP Test Manager.
• Support User Acceptance Testing by coordinating business users, monitoring progress, and resolving testing issues.
• Validate SAP integrations with third-party applications, middleware and legacy systems.
• Participate in cutover rehearsals, production readiness activities, and go-live support.
• Ensure testing evidence is complete and maintained in accordance with governance and audit requirements.

 

 

 

 

Project Closure (20%)

• Support the production of End of Test Reports and Test Completion Reports.
• Ensure all test scripts, evidence, defects, and supporting documentation are maintained within approved Test Management tools.
• Contribute to lessons learned workshops and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support Hypercare activities by validating production fixes and business-critical processes following go-live.

 

Essential Experience

• Minimum of 8 years' experience as an SAP Test Analyst or Senior Functional Test Engineer delivering SAP transformation programmes.
• Experience testing SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, SAP Fiori, SAP BW/4HANA, or related SAP applications.
• Strong understanding of integrated SAP business processes across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, Human Resources, or related functional areas.
• Proven experience designing and executing Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, and End-to-End Business Process Testing.
• Experience validating SAP interfaces, data migration, reports, workflows, batch processing, and integrations.
• Experience producing test scenarios, test cases, defect reports, traceability matrices, and End of Test Reports.
• Experience using SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Solution Manager, Spira, ALM/Quality Center, Jira, or equivalent Test Management tools.
• Good understanding of SAP Activate, Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

 

Qualifications & Certifications

• ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL).

• SAP S/4HANA or relevant SAP functional certification.
• SAP Activate certification.
• SAFe® Foundation certification.

 

Additional Requirements

• Experience working within global SAP transformation programmes.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with geographically dispersed teams and third-party delivery partners.
• Understanding of SAP release management, transport management, cutover, Hypercare, and post-production support.
• Willingness to mentor junior test analysts and contribute to continuous improvement of SAP testing practices.
