Procurement Engineer

To lead and manage the end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring timely availability of materials, equipment, services, while maintaining compliance with project specifications, budgets, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

Procurement Management

• Develop and implement project procurement strategies aligned with project schedules and budgets.
• Manage procurement of civil, mechanical, electrical, and hydro-mechanical equipment and materials.
• Ensure timely sourcing, evaluation, and selection of qualified suppliers and contractors.
• Lead RFQ, tendering, bid evaluation, negotiation, and award processes.

Vendor & Supplier Management

• Develop and maintain a reliable vendor database.
• Conduct vendor assessments, qualification, and performance evaluations.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions.

Project Coordination

• Work closely with engineering, planning, construction, and store teams to identify procurement requirements.
• Track critical procurement milestones and ensure alignment with project schedules.
• Monitor supplier manufacturing, inspections, dispatches, and deliveries.

Logistics & Supply Chain Management

• Oversee transportation, customs clearance (if applicable), and site delivery of equipment and materials.
• Ensure uninterrupted material flow to project sites.
• Optimize inventory levels and minimize material shortages.

Cost Control & Budget Management

• Prepare procurement budgets and forecasts.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Monitor procurement expenditures against approved budgets.
• Prepare procurement reports and management dashboards.

Risk Management

• Identify procurement risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Manage supplier performance risks, delivery delays, and market fluctuations.
• Ensure business continuity through alternate sourcing strategies.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with project, statutory, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Support internal and external audits related to procurement activities.
