As a Teammate, you will be directly responsible for remotely operating autonomous delivery robots for a worldwide delivery service. This is a critical role that combines technical operation, safety assurance, and world-class customer service. You will be a key part of the team dedicated to ensuring timely, safe, and efficient last-mile service for our customers.
In this role, your success will be measured by performance metrics focusing on operational accuracy, efficiency, safety compliance, and providing exceptional service in every remote interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Remote Robot Operation: Safely and efficiently pilot autonomous delivery robots to complete last-mile customer deliveries, adhering strictly to all traffic laws and operational regulations.
Safety Assurance: Maintain the highest level of situational awareness and immediately intervene to ensure robot safety and public well-being during all phases of operation.
Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve basic, real-time technical and navigational issues that arise during remote operation.
Customer Interaction: Provide immediate, high-quality remote support to customers during the delivery process (e.g., confirming drop-offs, addressing immediate concerns).
Communication & Collaboration: Maintain clear, prompt, and effective communication with Mission Control and team members to ensure smooth handover and operational continuity.
Process Improvement: Proactively identify and report operational bottlenecks, contributing valuable feedback to improve internal processes and robot performance protocols.
Documentation: Accurately record operational data, customer interactions, and delivery outcomes.
Essential Requirements:
A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of visual processing accuracy.
Demonstrated knowledge of basic troubleshooting techniques and comfort with complex software interfaces.
Proficiency in using digital maps/navigation tools (e.g., Google Maps) for rapid location and route assessment.
Ability to thrive and maintain focus in a fast-paced, high-stakes operational environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make swift, sound decisions under pressure.
Desirable Skills (The "Ideal Pilot"):Tech-Savviness: Quick learner with new technologies and strong fundamental computer skills.
Vigilance & Focus: Proven ability to remain alert, responsive, and highly focused in front of a screen for several hours at a time during shifts.
Visual-Motor Coordination: Good reaction time and motor skills required for precise robot control and the ability to rapidly process large amounts of visual information (Vigilance/Scanning).
Reliability: Impeccable attendance record and strong sense of responsibility for your assigned workload and schedule.
Communication: Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
Scheduling Flexibility: Availability to work in nights and rotational shifts.
Visual Acuity: Ability to distinguish different colors, which is essential for interacting with Operations and tools.
