Core expertise in Investigation life cycle and managing team members

• Lead and supervise a team of vigilance professionals responsible for conducting investigations into allegations of fraud, bribery, corruption, employee misconduct, policy violations, and operational irregularities.
• Independently handle critical and high to medium-impact vigilance /whistle blower cases into allegations of bribery and corruption / collusion/ embezzlement / lapses of varying nature and complexity. while providing guidance and oversight on cases managed by team members.
• For SME, Wholesale Bank, Commercial Bank relate borrower frauds   review by evaluating credit proposal (as applicable), documents, adherence to internal processes and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Formulation and implementation of work plans, service procedures and projects. Collection and collation of evidence, preparation and timely closure of reports. 
• Review investigation findings, assess staff accountability, and ensure consistency, quality, and timely closure of investigations. 
• Maintain adequate record of Investigation as per internal standards.

 

Other support and expectations

• Review of existing process / rules / procedures with a view to identify control weakness / eliminate or minimise the scope for corruption / malpractices; identify the sensitive / corruption prone spots.
• Data extraction / compilation and analysis of transactions to recognize and interpret unusual patterns using excel or other applications.
• Mentoring, training and guiding team member/s and ensuring that cases are adequately reviewed and timely closed.
• Assist in Committee presentations, RBI submissions, improvement of department’s processes/policies automation drives. 
• Support in maintaining and strengthening a robust vigilance framework.

 

 

Job Requirements

• 12 – 15 years of Experience in Banking / Vigilance / Internal Audit / Investigations
• Excellent understanding of banking business processes across divisions and internal controls
• Leadership and project management skills
• High ethical standards and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Good analytical skills, detail oriented, ability to co-relate, comfortable working with huge data Good Interpersonal skills, Interview skills and written communication skills
• Ability to work in high‑pressure situations and manage time‑sensitive investigations
• Knowledge of Retail, Corporate, Trade finance, Treasury, Banking products and Digital banking Operations will be an added advantage
