Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

As Manager- Sourcing (E&E) you will manage the sourcing, supplier development, commercialization and procurement of Automotive Accessories with a focus on Electrical & Electronic commodities such as infotainment systems, audio systems, telematics devices, cameras, sensors, chargers, switches, wiring accessories, connected accessories, lighting accessories, power electronics and emerging vehicle electronic solutions. The role is responsible for ensuring competitive sourcing, supplier capability, quality, timely project execution, localization and uninterrupted supply to support vehicle programs and aftermarket requirements. The key responsibilities are as follows:

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for automotive accessories and E&E component categories aligned to business, quality, cost and program objectives.
• Lead supplier scouting, RFQ preparation, techno-commercial evaluation, quote synthesis and supplier nomination activities.
• Evaluate suppliers based on technical capability, manufacturing processes, quality systems, development capability, financial health and delivery performance.
• Coordinate with Design, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, Program Management, Service and Marketing teams to ensure successful program execution.
• Ensure timely availability of development parts, prototypes and validation samples for vehicle builds, testing and certification activities.
• Manage supplier development activities from concept stage through tooling, validation, PPAP, SOP and production ramp-up.
• Drive APQP, PPAP and supplier readiness activities to ensure program milestones and quality gate deliverables are achieved.
• Conduct technical and commercial evaluations, prepare sourcing recommendations and support sourcing committee approvals.
• Analyze cost structures, tooling investments, electronic component cost drivers, commodity trends and supply chain risks to achieve cost competitiveness.
• Lead annual cost reduction, localization, VA/VE and supplier productivity initiatives across accessory categories.
• Manage engineering changes, product upgrades and supplier transitions ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and cost.
• Assess supplier capacities and develop mitigation plans for supply constraints, semiconductor shortages and component obsolescence risks.[
• Monitor supplier performance across Quality, Cost, Delivery, Development and Innovation parameters.
• Drive resolution of supplier-related quality concerns and coordinate corrective actions for field, production and warranty issues.
• Collaborate with suppliers to identify innovation opportunities in connected vehicle accessories, smart electronics, safety systems and customer-centric accessory offerings.
• Ensure adherence to procurement governance, sourcing processes and organizational compliance requirements.

Education Qualification

We prefer a candidate with B.E./B.Tech (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automobile, Mechanical).
Diploma/Degree in Sourcing & Procurement or MBA/PGDM will be added advantage.

General Experience

At least 7-10 years of Sourcing/CDMM/ in Automotive OEMs, Tier-1 Suppliers, Automotive Electronics, Accessories, Electrical & Electronic Component Manufacturing
