Principal Product Manager
Oracle APEX is trusted worldwide to deliver mission-critical, data-driven applications that are secure, scalable, and built on the Oracle Database. The Oracle APEX Product Management team is looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead the development of Oracle APEX product collateral: training courseware, certification programs, tutorials, LiveLabs, videos, and customer-facing enablement content, that fuels product adoption and customer success worldwide. This role sits at the intersection of deep technical expertise and compelling content craft, You'll turn product capabilities and new feature releases into materials that customers, partners, and internal teams rely on every day to succeed with Oracle APEX.
Beyond collateral development, you'll be a driving force behind customer and partner engagements, proof-of-concepts, University, and community and event programs, partnering closely with Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, Sales, Cloud Engineering, and Partners to accelerate Oracle APEX adoption globally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
- 5–10+ years of experience in Product Management, Technical Marketing, Developer Relations, Customer Success, Sales, Solution Engineering, or Technical Consulting.
- Strong Oracle Database expertise, including SQL, PL/SQL, relational database design, and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle APEX application development.
- Proven experience creating technical documentation, training content, tutorials, videos, or other customer-facing enablement material.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences.
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers, partners, and developer communities, including planning and executing events, workshops, or webinars.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives and stakeholders in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a plus.
Responsibilities
Product Collateral Development (Primary Focus)
- Lead the creation and continuous evolution of Oracle APEX product collateral: training courseware, certification programs, tutorials, LiveLabs, videos, and other high-impact enablement content.
- Partner closely with Engineering and Sales to ensure every piece of content reflects the platform's latest capabilities and feature releases with precision and clarity.
- Craft customer success stories, blogs, and advocacy content that bring real-world Oracle APEX impact to life, in collaboration with Marketing, customers, and partners.
- Own the customer approval and publication process for external-facing collateral, ensuring quality and consistency at every step.
- Build and maintain a content roadmap tied to the product release cycle.
- Champion Oracle APEX hosted environments used for demos, workshops, and customer engagements, ensuring they're always ready to make a strong impression.
Customer-Centricity
- Actively engage with customers to gather feedback and insights that inform product direction and content priorities.
- Work with customers to align Oracle APEX capabilities to their business goals, including through hands-on proof-of-concept engagements.
- Capture and analyze customer requirements to inform new product capabilities and feature designs.
- Review and prioritize customer issues to drive satisfaction and quality, coordinating resolutions across teams.
- Grow and energize the global Oracle APEX developer community, strengthening ties with User Groups and champions worldwide.
Product Release & Go-to-Market
- Develop release overviews, presentations, and demos that equip field teams to sell and support new capabilities with confidence.
- Recruit and support early adopters to validate new solutions ahead of broader rollout.
- Contribute to the development of clear, accurate user documentation.
- Define and track product adoption metrics, surfacing user behavior trends that inform strategy.
- Present compelling demos to customers, partners, analysts, and field teams that showcase the value of Oracle APEX.
- Help plan and execute high-visibility events such as roadshows, customer summits, partner round tables, workshops, webinars, and conferences
