Data Analyst (Technical Business Analyst) – EDW to Snowflake Migration

Position Summary

We are looking for a Data Analyst to support business and technical teams throughout the EDW to Snowflake migration. The role will focus on requirement gathering, data analysis, source system assessment, data validation, and business rule documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements and data requirements.
• Analyze existing EDW reports, dashboards, and data assets.
• Perform data profiling and source system analysis.
• Define and document source-to-target mappings.
• Work with business stakeholders to identify data quality issues and transformation requirements.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Validate migrated data between EDW and Snowflake environments.
• Support SIT, UAT, and production validation activities.
• Create reconciliation reports and data quality metrics.
• Maintain business rules, data lineage, and requirement documentation.
• Facilitate workshops with business users and technical teams.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts.
• Experience in business process analysis and requirement gathering.
• Advanced SQL and data analysis skills.
• Knowledge of data profiling and data quality assessment.
• Experience creating source-to-target mapping documents.
• Familiarity with Snowflake architecture and cloud data platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Cognos reporting tools.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience in ETL testing and data reconciliation.
• Exposure to Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Informatica.

Experience

• 5+ years as a Data Analyst/Technical Business Analyst.
• Experience in EDW modernization or Snowflake migration projects preferred.
