Credit Officer
- Credit Analysis & Risk Assessment: Analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, and credit history to calculate risk ratios and determine a borrower’s ability to repay.
- Loan Approvals & Structuring: Approve, reject, or negotiate loan terms (such as interest rates and payment plans) based on established underwriting guidelines and policies.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Track the performance of existing loans, ensure compliance with loan covenants, and identify early warning signs of default.
- Compliance: Ensure all lending activities adhere to internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Client Consultation: Meet with clients to gather necessary documentation, explain loan options, and guide them through the borrowing process.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare comprehensive credit memos, maintain accurate loan records, and present findings to credit committees or senior management.
