What you’ll do:

Responsibilities:

  • Successfully resolve technical issues (hardware and software) from incoming internal or external businesses and end user's contacts and proactive notification systems.
  • Respond to service, product, technical, and customer- relations questions on subjects such as features, specifications, and repairs on current and discontinued products, parts, and options, based on customer entitlement (warranty through mission- critical). .
  • Proactively assist internal or external businesses and end users to avoid or reduce problem occurrence.
  • Ability to act as a mentor and guide other employees. Ability to provide direction and guidance to process improvements.
  • Ability to articulate clearly, recommend and explain resolutions /clients.
  • Understand and utilize ITIL.
  • Represent the company in a face to face customer location visit, industry conference/trade show, vendor meeting, etc.

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

  • First Level University degree: a) technical, b) non-technical (i.e., Bachelor of Arts/ Science). Typically 3-4 year completion beyond High School level, BA/BS or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years experience in relevant technologies and customer environments.
  • Relevant industry qualification where applicable.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Own RFC review, validation, lifecycle tracking, and readiness checks.
  • Classify and route standard, normal, emergency, and release-related changes by impact, risk, urgency, and compliance need.
  • Prioritize changes and releases by business impact, service stability, risk, dependency, and readiness.
  • Govern transition from build or development teams into production operations.
  • Chair CAB, Emergency CAB, and release governance forums with clear decisions, approvals, and actions.
  • Assess business, technical, security, compliance, operational, and customer-facing risks before approval.
  • Approve, reject, defer, or escalate RFCs based on risk, readiness, justification, and policy compliance.
  • Coordinate build, test, approval, implementation, validation, and closure activities.
  • Resolve or escalate conflicts on priority, timing, risk, approvals, or customer expectations.
  • Govern the Forward Schedule of Change and release calendar, including windows, dependencies, and blackout periods.
  • Conduct PIRs for failed, emergency, high-risk, or critical changes and drive corrective actions.
  • Own Change and Release documentation, templates, approval matrices, CAB guidelines, and audit evidence standards.
  • Perform quality checks on records, risk assessments, plans, approvals, evidence, and closure notes.
  • Manage subprocesses including emergency change, standard change, release readiness, CAB effectiveness, and reporting.
  • Create and improve standards, controls, KPIs, quality gates, exception rules, and governance checkpoints.
  • Design and validate dashboards for CSR, ECR, failed changes, release adherence, backlog, SLA impact, and compliance.
  • Create procedures, work instructions, knowledge articles, and training material; guide stakeholders as needed.
  • Coach service groups to create, correct, and mature change, release, and support records.
  • Analyze trends and drive measurable improvements for delays, failures, emergency changes, and release exceptions.
  • Confirm production readiness, quality, security, compliance, approvals, and operational support before deployment.
  • Own and improve Release Management policies aligned with Change, Configuration, Incident, Problem, and customer governance.
  • Define release procedures for planning, readiness, deployment, acceptance, communication, rollback, validation, and closure.
  • Plan acceptance activities for software, hardware, infrastructure, and Configuration Items.
  • Coordinate release plans, schedules, dependencies, risks, issues, actions, and execution alignment.
  • Design, govern, and periodically review standard change procedures for recurring low-risk activities.
  • Communicate release plans, risks, impacts, approvals, outcomes, and expectations to all stakeholder levels.
