Job Purpose:

Lead the delivery, development, maintenance, and operational support of assigned BSS IT applications, ensuring reliable, scalable, and high-quality technology solutions aligned with business and IT priorities. Drive end-to-end execution across Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps delivery models, with accountability for platform stability, service availability, production rollouts, and timely L2/L3 incident resolution. Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and vendors to manage risks, improve operational efficiency, and enable continuous technology modernisation.

Key Accountabilities:

• Act as the technology and BSS domain SME for Telecom Billing and Bill Presentment application, ensuring solution feasibility and effective translation of business requirements into scalable technology outcomes.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of change requests, enhancements, and projects across Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps delivery models, ensuring adherence to agreed scope, timelines, quality standards, and business priorities.
• Review solution designs, product backlogs, low-level designs, development approaches, testing strategies, and release plans to ensure alignment with system capabilities, enterprise architecture, cost objectives, and technology roadmaps.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, IT teams, partners, and vendors for requirements clarification, effort validation, delivery planning, issue resolution, and timely completion of project milestones.
• Drive stable 24x7 operations for business-critical BSS platforms by monitoring availability, uptime, service performance, operational KPIs, business transaction trends, and technical success/failure patterns.
• Manage L2/L3 production support, incident resolution, problem management, root-cause analysis, MTTR reduction, and SLA adherence for critical business services and platform operations.
• Ensure disciplined adherence to IT service management processes, including incident, problem, change, release, deployment, post-production validation, and service assurance governance.
• Identify and implement automation, proactive monitoring, alarm optimisation, process improvements, and technology modernisation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, resiliency, and service reliability across the BSS portfolio.
• Ability to assess solution design, integration dependencies, non-functional requirements, performance, availability, security, privacy, and operational resilience Application & platforms.

Competency:

Functional Competencies: Strong understanding of telecom revenue management processes, including activation, provisioning, rating, charging, billing, collections, disputes, product catalogue, bill presentment, revenue assurance, and downstream financial workflows.

Technical Competencies: Working knowledge of billing and charging platforms (Viz 6D and Amdocs Billing Suites), Aurion Pro Bill presentation and formats [PS, PDF, XML],  Understanding of Mobility and Fixed line data and voice products [Viz, ILL IPLC, ITFS, cloud telephony etc], DevOps tools and technologies Jenkins/GitLab CI/CD, Prometheus, Grafana,  Java technologies, Middleware’s [IBM WebSphere, Wildfly etc.] , Databases [Oracle, Single Store etc] and ITIL aligned operations in a distributed architecture setup.

Technical/Professional Qualification:

• BE / B-tech / MCA degree in IT/Technology
• Sound knowledge of Agile/DevOps frameworks/methodology and Tools
• Sound Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle)
• Industry certification like ITIL, PRINCE2, CSM, PMP
• Technical degree from Premium institute will be an added advantage

Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills. Competent in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word.
