Job Description: Worker Data Hub ETL DataStage & PL/SQL Developer (4–6 Years)

Role Overview
We are looking for a Worker Data Hub ETL DataStage & PL/SQL Developer with 4–6 years of experience to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of ETL processes and database solutions. The role primarily involves working on data pipelines, writing SQL/PLSQL scripts, resolving issues, and collaborating with senior team members on enterprise data integration projects.

Primary Skills (Core Expertise)

Hands-on experience in ETL development using IBM DataStage
Good knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
Experience with:

Unix/Linux Shell scripting

Basic exposure to:

Windows PowerShell scripting

Familiarity with job scheduling tools (AutoSys or similar)
Awareness of REST/SOAP APIs
Experience in file handling (SFTP/SSH)

Mandatory Supporting Skills

Understanding of ETL concepts and data warehousing basics
Ability to write and optimize SQL queries (basic to intermediate level)
Hands-on experience in:

Developing and supporting DataStage jobs

Exposure to:

Python scripting (basic usage)
Power BI data support concepts (data preparation level)

Basic understanding of:

Tomcat server (monitoring/support level)
Java/Spring Boot (awareness)

Good to Have Skills

Exposure to:

SSL/TLS concepts

Familiarity with tools:

ServiceNow (ticket handling)
Confluence (documentation)
Splunk (log monitoring basics)

Awareness of change management processes

Type of Work Allocation

ETL & PL/SQL Development: ~80–85%
Production Support & Minor Admin Tasks: ~15–20%

Key Responsibilities

Develop and support ETL jobs using IBM DataStage
Write and maintain SQL and PL/SQL scripts (procedures, functions)
Assist in building and maintaining data integration pipelines
Perform basic SQL query optimization and debugging
Monitor scheduled jobs and handle failures (AutoSys or similar)
Support secure file transfers using SFTP/SSH
Assist in API-based data integration (REST/SOAP)
Work with reporting teams (Power BI) for data readiness
Provide L1/L2 production support for ETL pipelines
Troubleshoot data issues and ETL job failures
Follow data governance, security, and release processes
Assist senior developers in enhancements and system improvements

Required Experience

4–6 years of overall IT experience
At least 3+ years of hands-on ETL (DataStage) and Oracle PL/SQL experience
Experience in basic production support and data pipeline development
Exposure to data warehouse environments

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / related field
Basic certifications in DataStage or Oracle (optional)
