Job Description: Location Collections Manager

Role Purpose

The Location Collections Manager is responsible for managing and driving collections performance for assigned locations, ensuring timely recovery of overdue accounts while maintaining portfolio quality. The role involves leading collection teams, coordinating with field staff, monitoring delinquency levels, and implementing effective recovery strategies in line with organizational policies and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end collections activities for the assigned location.
• Monitor delinquency buckets and ensure achievement of collection and recovery targets.
• Drive reduction in overdue accounts, roll-forward rates, and overall portfolio risk.
• Lead, train, and motivate collection executives and agency partners to improve productivity.
• Develop and implement collection strategies for various delinquency buckets.
• Ensure timely field visits, customer interactions, and follow-ups for overdue cases.
• Monitor agency performance and ensure adherence to company policies and compliance standards.
• Coordinate with Sales, Credit, Operations, and Legal teams for effective resolution of cases.
• Track daily, weekly, and monthly collection MIS and present performance updates to stakeholders.
• Manage skip, fraud, and high-risk accounts through focused recovery efforts.
• Ensure customer interactions are conducted professionally and ethically.
• Maintain compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
• Control collection costs while maximizing recoveries.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline; MBA preferred.
• 4-8 years of experience in Collections, Recovery, or Retail Assets.
• Experience in managing field collections teams and collection agencies.
• Strong understanding of retail lending products such as Personal Loans, Business Loans, LAP, Agri Loans, Vehicle Loans, or Consumer Finance.
• Knowledge of collection systems, recovery processes, and regulatory requirements.
