Job Description

Principal OCI Cloud Automation & Orchestration Engineer (DevOps)

The Automation & Orchestration Engineer will be responsible for building end-to-end automation solutions for OCI tenancy creation, infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, configuration management, and operational workflows. The role will focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud automation, CI/CD integration, and orchestration of migration-related activities to support large-scale healthcare customer migrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automation solutions for OCI tenancy provisioning, onboarding, and environment standardization. 

  • Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform and OCI Resource Manager to automate provisioning of cloud infrastructure, including networking, compute, storage, databases, load balancers, and Kubernetes services. 

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated infrastructure and application deployments using OCI DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, or similar tools. 

  • Develop orchestration workflows to automate environment provisioning, application deployment, configuration management, and migration activities. 

  • Implement configuration management using tools such as Ansible to ensure consistency across environments. 

  • Automate cloud governance, security controls, compliance validation, and policy enforcement in alignment with healthcare regulatory requirements. 

  • Enable monitoring, logging, operational automation, incident response, and self-healing capabilities using OCI observability services. 

  • Support migration activities including environment readiness, deployment validation, cutover, rollback, and post-migration automation. 

  • Create reusable automation frameworks, templates, documentation, and operational runbooks while promoting automation best practices across the program.

    Required Qualifications

     

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. 

    Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud automation, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or platform engineering. 
  • 3+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or equivalent cloud platforms. 
  • Experience supporting large-scale cloud migration programs. 

    Required Technical Skills

  • OCI Services: IAM, Networking, Compute, Storage, Load Balancer, Resource Manager, OCI DevOps. 
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform (mandatory), OCI Resource Manager
  • Automation & Scripting: Python, Bash/Shell scripting
  • Configuration Management: Ansible
  • CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, GitHub, OCI DevOps 

Preferred Qualifications

  • OCI Architect Professional Certification. 
  • OCI DevOps Professional Certification. 
  • Terraform Associate Certification.
  • Experience with healthcare applications and healthcare cloud migrations. 
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, and healthcare regulatory requirements. 
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise cloud transformation programs.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
